I Want To 'Save The World' and Make A Difference

There is no denying that the world is changing. We hear about climate change, drought and the environment every day. Feel passionate about the environment and the future of the planet? Why not use a career in  Agrifood as a platform to do something positive.

''Barring wars or major accidents, there will be about 9.2 billion people in the world of 2050 - but they will eat as much food as 13 billion at today's nutritional levels,'' Professor Cribb said [on 21 October 2009].

What can I do now? Talk to a land care worker, job shadow them, write up a typical day and present to classmates, get involved in Clean up Australia or Tidy Towns committees, research sustainable farming methods, do some soil testing, trial water saving methods in your home or school garden.
